Self Care for Stress Management - Day 1

Description

This is a two day course focused on expanding the concepts and practices of self care and stress management. We will review the physiology of stress including autonomic nervous system and polyvagal theory. We will discuss general principles of stress management for clients. We will discuss the therapeutic and ethical rationale for self care. We will discuss assessment of stress for clients. We will create individualized stress management plans addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Practical applications will be enjoyed. We will apply the modalities to ensure our comfort in recommending them. Examples of modalities are creative visualization, mudras, meridian stretching, and reflective journaling. This is a great opportunity to try new things and expand your repertoire for self care /stress management options for your clients. Please also book Day 2; both days must be completed together in order to qualify for CEUs.
